The First Peoples Principles of Learning have been around since time immemorial, they are a set of principles used by the First Peoples of this land to raise strong healthy children. The First Peoples Principles of Learning are principles by which all teachers should strive to follow while teaching their students. I believe that implementing these principles are an act towards decolonizing the way that we think that learning takes place. There are multiple ways of knowing, and I advocate that all should be seen as valid. Recognizing multiple truths is important because when we do that we continue to make the necessary steps that we need to take towards achieving reconciliation.
